The Story
Ombre Digital was founded by Josh Healy, an SEO specialist with hands-on experience managing technical SEO, content strategy, and analytics across multiple websites in the further education sector. During a 14-month industry placement, he took ownership of SEO performance for three separate sites — handling everything from technical audits and keyword strategy to reporting and analytics setup.
Alongside that, Josh studied Networks and Cybersecurity at Northumbria University — giving him a deeper technical understanding of how websites actually work under the hood. That perspective shapes how he approaches SEO today: not just surface-level fixes, but changes that actually stick.
As search started shifting beyond traditional Google rankings, Josh spotted an opportunity most agencies were missing. He built his own AEO (AI Engine Optimisation) audit tool from scratch — to assess how businesses appear not just on Google, but inside AI-powered results like ChatGPT and AI Overviews.
That combination — technical depth, real SEO experience, and genuine curiosity about where search is heading — led to Ombre Digital. An agency built for how search works now, and where it’s going next.
